President's Report
Welcome to all OSU members, particularly to our newest members, the School's year of 2007!
Having last year celebrated the sesquicentenary of the arrival of the first boys at the refounded Sydney Grammar School in 1857, we now begin to look forward and to plan towards an even brighter future for the School and the OSU.
2008 promises to be a busy but exciting year for the OSU with the Committee developing a number of broad new initiatives which will cater for a larger range of your different needs and interests.
We will also be communicating with you differently this year so look out for more frequent updates on this website. We will also be launching a monthly e-newsletter called The Alligator. This will include recent information about the OSU and its activities, and will be delivered straight to your inbox each month.
I would also encourage you to login to Alligator Online to ensure that we have your most recent contact details so that we can keep in touch with you effectively.
We have begun calling for volunteers to be points of contact for our reunions this year. If your year is due for a reunion in 2008 and you would be interested in helping with the organization of that function please contact the OSU office.
I would also like to take this opportunity to remind you that the OSU has assisted in the publication of Inside Sydney Grammar School; photographs by Max Dupain and Rex Dupain; a creation of two of our most famous Old Boys. The book contains images of the School from the 1950s to 2006 and is a must for any Grammar family.
I wish you and your families all the best for 2008 and look forward to seeing you at an OSU event throughout the year.
Leon Shohmelian
President
