Mentoring Programmes
The Union conducts a regular calendar of mentoring initiatives and networking events. These feature OS mentors and many other individuals and organisations generous enough to give their time to support Old Sydneians in their professional development.
OSU Mentoring Program
The Union’s Mentoring Programme - currently in its pilot phase - runs over 12 weeks and is designed to help OS find and receive suitable mentorship within the Grammar community, and to support OS in their career and personal development. This program is designed as much for mentors as for mentees.
Participants are paired based on occupational field and career stage. For more details please register your interest with the Union.
“Grammar in” Seires
The Union’s “Grammar In” initiative is an ongoing series of events tailored to specific fields, professions, and practise areas. Each event features a panel of eminent Old Sydneians to provide their unique insights and advice, as well as informal networking opportunities for all attendees.
The series is constantly expanding in scope, and so far has featured Grammar in Finance, Grammar in Mining & Resources, and Grammar in Real Estate & Development. For more details or to register your interest, please contact the Union.
Young Leavers
The Union’s Young Leavers programme is a planned initiative aimed at exposing OS who have recently left College Street to the opportunities and pathways available to them in various fields/sectors. These include internships in finance and technology, law clerkships, medicine pathways/specialties, and other placements.
Please register your interest for updates as this initiative develops.
